Shane Robinson
Principal
Shane was admitted to the Bar in 1989. He has over 32 years experience in General Practice. He specialises in Criminal, Family, and Employment Law. He is also a Court-appointed lawyer for children. Shane is not a Family Legal Aid provider, but can assist with some Criminal Legal Aid matters.
Nicole Mount
Solicitor
Nicole specialises in criminal, family violence, care of children and relationship property matters holding Legal Aid lead provider approval in family, criminal (PAL 2), and previously practised in mental health law. She regularly appears in the District Court including jury trials, Judge-alone trials and as a duty lawyer. Nicole has appeared in the High Court, and undertaken work across the Wairarapa, Wellington region, Nelson and Blenheim.
She grew up in Hawke’s Bay with whakapapa to Ngāti Porou and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga. Nicole has volunteered at the Wellington Community Law Centre including the Remutaka Prison outreach centre and Epuni Care and Protection Residence, and volunteered at the Upper Hutt Citizens Advice Bureau.
Nicole is down to earth, practical and passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for clients.
Megan Fermo
Solicitor
Megan is a solicitor with experience in public and regulatory law, having previously worked in government and professional misconduct. She is now enjoying the opportunity to work more directly with people and assisting clients with practical legal issues across property and family law. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2024.
Originally from the Philippines, Megan has also volunteered in immigration and refugee matters through Community Law, reflecting her interest in access to justice and working with people from diverse backgrounds. She is focused on achieving clear and effective outcomes for clients. Megan is fluent in Tagalog.
Leanne Rookes
Legal Secretary / PA
Leanne is an experienced Personal Assistant and Legal Secretary. Leanne is Shane's Assistant, and supports Nicole. Originally from Taranaki, Leanne has made Upper Hutt her home for the last 17 years.

Brenda is a Registered Legal Executive, with over 38 years experience. She specialises in Conveyancing, Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration.
